Sara's Music Box

Hi! I'm Sara. I'm just a few months old, and at home they say I never stop: not by day, not by night, not even when they try to put my pyjamas on. Mum says I'm "a little earthquake", and Dad says I'm "the queen of the house". I don't get it. If I were an earthquake, the house would shake; and if I were the queen, I'd be in charge, and it's them who are in charge here! Who can understand grown-ups…

The thing is, sometimes I get nervous, especially when we have to take what you grown-ups call "the metro", so full of people and so noisy that I can hardly hear what Mum is saying. Or in the queue at the bakery, which never ends; and when it's finally our turn, it turns out there's no country loaf left and we have to take a ciabatta or that crunchy glass bread. That's why my parents got this app: so I always have my music box close by. When Mum or Dad turns it on, lullabies play and I see an old-fashioned music box, with a fairy turning round and round, slowly. I watch them, I listen to the music… and paradise doesn't seem so far away.

I take it everywhere: to Grandma and Grandpa's, when I nap there; in the car, on long journeys; in the doctor's waiting room, when everything feels strange; after my bath, when it's time for bed; and in bed, with the screen off: just the music, softly, until I fall asleep. And when it ends, it turns itself off with a goodbye song. Nobody has to come into my room to stop it.

Sara's Music Box sounds like the music boxes of old. It plays traditional Catalan children's songs and lullabies, specially arranged for music box. For parents, we offer peace of mind: no ads and no purchases. We collect no data at all: not from your baby, from you or from the device. That's also why we don't need the internet. In Sara's Music Box there's nothing for the baby to tap: they just watch and listen. And we make sure that what they see and hear is of the highest possible quality. The movements are slow and gentle, designed for a baby's eyes. The colours, warm. And the songs are the crown jewels: we arrange each piece to suit the baby's age. No complicated melodies or virtuosity: simple arrangements with calm tempos. And in the bedtime routines, the music keeps playing even when the device is locked.

But we also offer you personalisation: you choose how long it lasts, 5, 10, 20 or 45 minutes. There are routines for every moment of the day: a walk in the street or the park, bath and bed, or just bed. And if you don't want your baby in front of a screen at such a young age, we adapt: in dark mode only the music plays, and the screen stays off. In the Parents' corner you choose the duration, the routine and a few other things. In Sara's Music Box, no session is unlimited: everything has a beginning and an end. After the time you've chosen, Sara's Music Box goes to sleep and says goodbye. And it switches itself off (the wonders of modern life).
